Getting Started with MoE Card: A Complete Guide
Everything you need to know about MoE Card — from creating your first card to mastering multi-page projects, gestures, and Pro features.
What Is MoE Card
MoE Card is an iOS app for creating text cards, emoji sticker compositions, and multi-page card sets on your iPhone. It is designed for social media content creators who need to produce visually appealing card images quickly, without learning complex desktop design software.
MoE Card supports 1:1, 3:4, 9:16 and custom aspect ratios for multi-page card creation. All editing is done through touch gestures — pinch, drag, rotate, and tap — making it fast and intuitive on a phone screen.
Creating a New Project
Tap the ”+” button on the home screen to create a new project. You will be asked to choose a canvas aspect ratio:
| Aspect Ratio | Pixel Size | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 1:1 | 1080 × 1080 | Instagram posts, WeChat Moments |
| 3:4 | 1080 × 1440 | Xiaohongshu posts |
| 9:16 | 1080 × 1920 | Instagram Stories, TikTok covers |
| Custom | User-defined | WeChat article covers, special formats |
After selecting a ratio, you enter the canvas editor.
Gesture Controls
MoE Card’s editing interface is entirely gesture-driven. Here is the complete gesture reference:
- Single-finger drag on an element: Move the element to a new position
- Two-finger pinch on an element: Scale the element up or down
- Two-finger rotate on an element: Rotate the element
- Double-tap on text: Enter text editing mode
- Long-press on an element: Open the context menu (copy, delete, layer ordering)
- Single-finger drag on empty canvas: Pan the canvas view
- Two-finger pinch on empty canvas: Zoom the canvas view
These gestures respond immediately with no perceptible delay, making the editing experience feel direct and physical.
Working with Text
Text is the primary content type in MoE Card. Here is how to use it effectively.
Adding Text
Tap the text tool in the bottom toolbar. A new text box appears in the center of the canvas. Double-tap it to start typing.
Styling Options
- Font: Select from the built-in font library, which includes serif, sans-serif, rounded, and handwritten styles
- Size: Use the size slider in the properties panel or pinch-to-resize directly on the canvas
- Color: Choose from the color picker or enter a hex value for precise brand colors
- Alignment: Left, center, or right alignment
- Line spacing: Adjustable to control text density
Text Design Tips
- Use no more than three text size levels per card (headline, subheading, body)
- Ensure sufficient contrast between text color and background
- Leave breathing room around text blocks — do not fill every pixel
- For important information, increase font size rather than adding bold or underline
Using Emoji Stickers
MoE Card includes the complete emoji library, rendered as high-quality sticker elements on the canvas.
How to Add Emojis
- Tap the emoji button in the toolbar
- Browse by category or search for a specific emoji
- Tap to add it to the canvas
- Use gestures to position, resize, and rotate
Best Practices
- Use emojis as visual markers to draw attention to key sections
- Place them near headings or as bullet-point replacements
- Limit to 3-5 emojis per card to avoid visual clutter
- Emojis render consistently across all devices, so what you see in MoE Card is what your audience will see
Multi-Page Cards
Multi-page support is one of MoE Card’s core features. It allows you to create a set of cards — such as an Instagram carousel or a Xiaohongshu slideshow — within a single project.
Managing Pages
- Add a page: Tap the ”+” in the page management bar at the bottom
- Duplicate a page: Long-press a page thumbnail and select duplicate — useful for maintaining consistent styling
- Reorder pages: Drag page thumbnails to rearrange
- Delete a page: Long-press and select delete
Workflow Recommendation
- Design the first page with your desired visual style (colors, fonts, layout)
- Duplicate it as a template for subsequent pages
- Edit content on each page while keeping the style consistent
- Review all pages in sequence before exporting
Drafts and Project Management
Every project is automatically saved as a draft. The home screen shows all your projects with thumbnail previews and last-edited timestamps.
All data is stored locally on your device. MoE Card does not upload your content to any server. You can resume editing any project at any time, even without an internet connection.
Exporting Your Cards
Tap the export button (top right) when you are finished editing. MoE Card exports each page as a separate PNG image saved to your photo library.
Export details:
- Format: PNG (lossless quality)
- Resolution: Matches canvas settings (e.g., 1080 × 1440 for 3:4)
- Multi-page projects export all pages in order
- Use the system share sheet to send images directly to other apps

Tips for Great Cards
- Start with the message: Decide what you want to communicate before opening the editor. One clear message per card.
- Choose the right ratio: Match your canvas to the target platform for optimal display.
- Less is more: White space makes your content easier to read and more visually appealing.
- Be consistent: Use the same colors and fonts across a series of cards to build visual identity.
- Test at thumbnail size: Your card will often be seen as a small thumbnail in a feed. Make sure the headline is still readable at that size.
